DXIG24SEU inverter generator

Tough power that knows when to shut itself down.

2.4 kW of petrol inverter muscle. 2.2 kW of clean, continuous pure-sine output — steady enough for laptops, TVs and the most sensitive electronics. And a built-in carbon-monoxide sensor that cuts the engine the moment CO climbs too high. Most generators in this class won't. This one's built to.

Overview

The DeWALT DXIG24SEU is a 2.4 kW petrol inverter generator built for people who need dependable power they can run safely close to home. It delivers 2.2 kW of rated, continuous power at power factor cos φ 1, so the 2.2 kW is real usable watts rather than a derated kVA figure. That is more continuous power than the famous 2 kW names, and continuous power — not peak — is what keeps a fridge, a heating pump or a power tool running without tripping.

Its standout feature is a functional Carbon Monoxide Shutoff. A built-in CO sensor monitors the air and stops the engine automatically if carbon monoxide builds up, with a panel light that shows standby, CO-detected and sensor-error states.

Popular Questions

The model is equipped with a carbon monoxide sensor (CO monitoring). The advanced safety system continuously analyses the air around the generator. If a dangerous concentration of carbon monoxide is detected, the electronics automatically alert to the high CO level and then shut the generator down, protecting the health and safety of users. It features a built-in carbon monoxide shutdown: the sensor monitors the air and automatically stops the engine when CO accumulates, with a panel indicator for standby status, CO detection and sensor fault.

Yes, absolutely. A generator with a 2.2 kW rated output comfortably runs household appliances, a water pump or power tools. Important: before connecting motor-driven appliances (pumps, compressors, fridges) always check their rated power and account for high start-up currents (power surge on switch-on).

Yes, the generator produces electricity with a pure sine wave, which is safe for sensitive electronics.

The model has one Schuko 230 V / 16 A outlet. To connect several devices simultaneously, use a multi-socket extension lead, ensuring the combined load does not exceed the generator's rated output (2.2 kW) or the extension lead's own power rating.

No — the DXIG24SEU starts with a manual recoil starter with a choke.

The DXIG35SEU offers higher rated output (3.2 kW vs 2.2 kW) and two Schuko 230 V outlets instead of one. Choose the DXIG35SEU if you need to run more appliances simultaneously or need a second mains outlet.
